New course: FGM Awareness and Safeguarding for Care Workers
Practical, sensitive learning to help care staff recognise concerns, support survivors and take the right safeguarding action.
FGM Awareness and Safeguarding for Care Workers is now available in Core Training as a Professional CPD Standards Level 2 Certificate.
Four narrated lessons cover respectful support, recognising specific concerns without stereotyping, responding to disclosures, secure recording and appropriate escalation. Realistic scenarios help staff distinguish the specific mandatory reporting duty from the safeguarding responsibilities that apply to every care worker.
The learning is non-graphic and focused on the care worker's role. It does not require examinations or investigation, and it does not turn staff into clinical or safeguarding specialists.
Learners complete knowledge checks, practical reflection and a ten-question final assessment. Successful completion provides a free digital certificate and transcript.
Included in provider subscriptions and Lifetime Individual Membership. Managers can assign the course to individuals, selected staff or their whole active team.
