A few useful answers

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no course fee, subscription or purchase requirement. Your digital certificate is free. After completing the programme, you can choose to buy a printed copy, but it confirms exactly the same achievement.

Who is it for?

Adults aged 18 and over: neighbours, parents, volunteers, friends and anyone who wants to help. Examples and emergency information are written for everyday life in the UK.

What do I need to complete?

Work through all 10 sections, pass the final assessment at 80% or above and choose three personal pledges. You can review the feedback and try the assessment again. There are no timers.

Is this a volunteering role or first-aid course?

It is practical community learning. It does not appoint you to a volunteering role or certify practical first-aid skills. Any activity you join will have its own arrangements.

Can I listen instead of reading?

Each section has narration alongside the written teaching. Audio starts only when you press play. You can pause and return to your learning.
