Advanced Positive Behaviour Support: new Level 3 course

Positive Behaviour Support: Advanced Practice for Care Workers is now available in Core Training. It builds on our existing PBS course with practical decisions for experienced carers and senior support workers.

Five narrated lessons follow realistic situations involving communication, community access and daily support. Learners practise comparing observations, identifying gaps in how an agreed plan is delivered, responding under pressure and taking useful evidence into supervision.

The course asks important questions: do fewer incidents mean better support, or fewer opportunities? Is a communication method failing, or are staff failing to respond to it? When does a change need health or specialist attention rather than another behaviour chart?

Approximately 75 minutes of learning, activities and a 15-question case-based assessment lead to a Professional CPD Standards Level 3 Certificate. Successful learners receive their free digital certificate and transcript through the usual Academy process.

The focus is on applying agreed specialist plans within the care worker's role. This is not physical-restraint training or authorisation to independently conduct specialist functional assessments.

Included in provider subscriptions and Lifetime Individual Membership. Managers can assign it to selected staff or their whole team in Runway.
