200 courses and programmes now available at Pheon Academy
Three new Level 2 courses take our library to 200 courses and programmes: practical bariatric care, lymphoedema support and sickle cell awareness.
We have reached 200 courses and programmes at Pheon Academy, with three practical additions for adult care teams.
Bariatric Care: Dignity and Safer Everyday Support helps staff provide respectful personal care, recognise unsuitable equipment and follow the assessed arrangements for larger-bodied adults. It builds on general moving and handling learning.
Supporting Someone with Lymphoedema covers everyday comfort, skin care, following the specialist plan and recognising changes that need prompt attention.
Sickle Cell Awareness for Care Workers helps staff understand daily support needs, take pain seriously and recognise when urgent or emergency help is required.
All three are Professional CPD Standards Level 2 Certificates. Each includes four narrated lessons, realistic scenarios, knowledge checks, practical reflection and a final assessment. Successful learners receive a free digital certificate and transcript.
Our complete offering now includes 124 Academy courses: 80 Core Training, 20 Quick Learning and 24 Role Development courses, alongside the Care Certificate programme and 75 NHS e-Learning for Healthcare offerings. NHS learning is separate from our Professional CPD Standards-accredited courses.
The three new courses are available in Core Training and included in provider subscriptions and Lifetime Individual Membership. Managers can assign them to one person, selected staff or the whole active team, with no additional course fee.
